For all those of you who have yet to venture down to the epically busy Marc Jacobs accessory store in the West Village, your own little piece of MJ heaven is closer than you think. Starting September 7th, visitors to the Holt Renfrew website will be able to reserve their own Marc by Marc Jacobs tote bag which was made exclusively for the Canadian retailer. These roomy nylon totes come in four different colours (the off-white is terribly chic if I do say so myself), and will retail for $48 CDN.
Even better, though, is the initiative for which these bags came to be. Holt Renfrew approached the label with the intention of collaborating on piece that would benefit a charitable project of their choice; thus, part of the proceeds from each sale will go to VisionSpring, an organization that supplies low-cost eyeglasses in the developing world.
A Marc Jacobs bag AND a good deed? What’s the catch, you may ask? These totes will be on sale for a limited time only; they land in Holt Renfrew stores September 30th and will be around until October 10th (as if they’ll linger that long).
