GET A GLIMPSE OF OUR INTERVIEW WITH THE ETHEREAL SONGSTRESS

“I think in many ways society is being held up by toothpicks and when those toothpicks break there’s going to be a lot of great stuff that happens, because it’s a lot of an illusion that’s going on right now. It’s an illusion that’s draining on people. Corporately, musically, personally – people need to get down to basics. That’s not to say you can’t make money at what you love, going on tour and promoting yourself, but when other people have a vested interest in who you are, that’s a little fucked up. Do what you love because you love it.”
Isla Craig has this pretty remarkable ease about her that absorbs the good in the world and pays it forward. Like those people with the off-the-cuff mantras, you just want to let her talk to you and impart all of her natural wisdom. But if she sings it to you, that’d be magical.
