Wymond Miles – Pale Moon
Fresh and Only’s guitarist, Wymond Miles, is set to release his debut LP, Under the Pale Moon, out June 12 on Sacred Bones.
John Maus – Mental Breakdown
On July 17th/16th, Ribbon Music will release a sixteen-song collection of music spanning eleven years, titled A Collection of Rarities and Previously Unreleased Material.
Fans (like us at Plaid) may notice a few of the ‘demos’ are not represented on the album. The answer to this is simple: “Some of the songs are in fact just that – DEMOS. Better left ‘unreleased,’ you know what I’m saying?!” – John Maus.
Tesla Boy – Fantasy
Russia’s Tesla Boy released this new single Fantasy earlier this week. The hype this song has been getting is a good indicator that we will be hearing a lot more from Tesla Boy in the near future.
Icky Blossoms – Perfect Vision
If you like Bright Eyes or Tilly and the Wall, then you will like Icky Blossoms. Probably because guitarist/vocalist Derek Pressnal was in Tilly and the Wall and has now started this new band which has a more electronic oriented dance pop sound. A self-titled debut reord is due out on Saddle Creek on July 17th. We are digging Perfect Vision which is available for download on the bands website.
