There is more to NXNE than the concerts at night (see our top picks). However, if you are feeling overwhelmed by the sheer amount of events popping up on your Facebook list then take a look at our top choices for events to go to during the day. You will not be disappointed!
#1 Live in Bellwoods: Great Heart Festival
Young Lion’s Music Club and Humble Empire have set up a free and all ages event in Trinity Bellwoods park. It has bands that you should be as excited about as we are. Check it out from June 14-17 2pm-5pm. Listen to the mixtape they put together of some of the bands playing.
#2 Bruise Cruise Festival
Panache & M for Montreal present Bruise Cruise at NXNE. It is this Saturday afternoon, with acts such as DJ Jonathan Toubin, Hooded Fang, Teenanger, Mac DeMarco and Bleached. That’s right, bands playing on a boat!

#3 Toronto Island Bonfire
This Thursday, the Jansport Bonfire Sessions (in partnership with Noisey/Vice) will be hosting an RSVP event on the Toronto Island.
Tunes will be provided by Smith Westerns and Dusted along with some free grub, lots of JanSport gear, and all the good vibes of a backyard Bonfire.
Take a Ferry (from Bay and Front) to Hanlans and follow the signs to Gibralter point.

#4 Pop-Up Breakfast and Ceasar Taco Bar
There is a lot going on at The Garrison this year at NxNE and this event is probably the yummiest.This Saturday from 12-4, The Garrison is treating you to a ceaser, a taco, and some bands.
Come cure your hangover and hear live music by The BB Guns, Rival Boys, and Planet Creature.
