As of just last week, Cooper Cole Art Gallery is simultaneous hosting two exhibits until August 18th. For the next month, Sara Cwynar’s Accidental Archives is showing alongside works by a variety of artists presented in the gallery’s first annual summer group show, Zagga Zow.

Accidental Archives, Sara Cwynar

In her mid twenties, Canadian Photographer Sara Cwynar has already been featured in The New York Times Magazine and exhibited her work internationally. She was listed as one of Print Magazine’s 20 Under 30 New Visual Artists in 2011.  A graduate from York Unviersity, she currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

The most interesting element of Cwynar’s Accidentally Archives is her modern rendition of the classical still life. She has a knack for matching miscellaneous goods to create a real sense of nostalgia.
